Yong Sport promises victory
The 1st Vice President of FECAFOOT, J.B Ndeh has promised the sum of 500 thousand FCFA from FECAFOOT to the players of Yong Sports Academy

The 1st Vice President of FECAFOOT, J.B Ndeh has promised the sum of 500 thousand FCFA from FECAFOOT to the players of Yong Sports Academy if they emerge as winners of the Cameroon Cup.

He made the statement yesterday during a visit by the Secretary General at the North West Governor's office, Absalom WOLOA MONONO, to the Yong Sports Academy camp.

The visit which lasted several hours was aimed at encouraging the players before the finals of the match which will be played on Sunday the 22nd of December 2013.
The 1st Vice President of FECAFOOT likened the players of Yong Sports Academy to David in the bible who though young finally defeated Goliath (Canon Sportif de Yaoundé). He was confident that despite the fact that the Yong Sport is a young team compared to Canon Sport, they are capable of bringing back the trophy to the North West Region.

The visit was characterised by speeches, words of encouragement, words of courage, words of victory words of assurance and words of wisdom.

The Secretary General at the North West Governor's office disclosed the vision of the proprietor of the club, BOBE YONG Francis which was to support the club to the point where they will make the North West Region proud, a vision which has come to fruition.

He conveyed the Governor's message of encouragement adding that the Governor has something in store for the team in case they emerge victorious in the Cup of Cameroon finals. He added that the Governor shall be present at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium to witness the finals and to give his encouragement to the players.

The Secretary General at the NORTH West Governor's office added that the Cup of Cameroon is a reunification cup as it is being played by the English speaking Cameroon represented by John NGUH FONCHA and French speaking Cameroon represented by AHMADOU AHIDJO. He further congratulated the team for making the North West proud but reiterated that they should not rest on their laurels after reaching this stage of the competition. He said the players will be treated like kings if they bring home the trophy.

After giving a hand shake of encouragement to the players and team Managers, the coach of the team Captain promised alongside his team mates to bring the trophy home.
After the disbursement of some money to the players, the management and the supporters club for entertainment, the Secretary General and the Etat Major of the Governor of the North West Region and the 1st Vice President of FECAFOOT departed with  confidence that Yong Sports Academy will make the region proud.
